There were three bedrooms in the New Albany house. Being a shotgun style home, the master bedroom was the first thing that you saw when you walked through the door. We decided to turn that room into a theater room (see New Albany House: Theater Room) and use the other two bedrooms as actual bedrooms.
Bedroom 1
Bedroom 1 was painted a dull white color and had some serious maintenance needs. There was a dark brown carpet installed and parts of the ceiling were falling apart. We decided to do a faux brick wall and make our own industrial-rustic ceiling.
Because we didn’t have access to a truck, we utilized our convertible an excessive amount during these projects.

The end result of Bedroom 1 was a great success and we absolutely loved the outcome.
Bedroom 2
This bedroom was a very small room that we initially though of as a home office. However, after a while we decided to convert it in to a bedroom. I built a modified platform bed for it and we used some left over paint to do one wall dark and one wall light.
