The Bedrooms

The master bedroom was a peach color with an angel poster in it. The hallway bedroom was a blue color with a lot of storage stuff and old decorations. The back bedroom was probably the worst, and weirdest. A couple years back, the room had been destroyed by a car that went through the outside wall. When the wall was fixed, the room was painted the exact same color pink and the same dark red carpet was installed. Each room had a different shade of colored carpet.

I worked on the master bedroom first because we had decided to do a pallet wall. Because of the colors that we chose for the wall, the existing peach color actually worked. Which made things quite a bit easier. We took down the angel poster and changed out the caret for the wood floor. Also, I added some paneling to the closet doors and then found an old space heater that looks like a fireplace to use as a decoration.

The first guest room came together pretty easily. We decided to keep the blue color but go with an antique vibe. I found an old window from the 1920’s and created a headboard for the bed. We also found a luggage crate from Sarah’s grandpa from back in the Vietnam war. With permission, we decided to use it as a table to add to the vintage rustic feel.

The second guest room was a ton of work. The pink paint was really hard to paint over with the Country White color that we chose. So 3 coats later, there was finally a base. We wanted one dark wall and the rest of the walls white. After getting some cool curtain sets to brighten up the room, the final product was pretty killer.
